The short history of the kennel

The very first dog came into my life in 1985. It was actually a Standard Poodle. However I have always been dreaming about sighthounds. In 1988 I have purchased an Afghan hound bitch NOMINACJA Komentarz from Poland. Later, in 1991 April, I got my kennel prefix “Romantika” and eventually my Nominacja had two litters. I also imported a beautiful Afghan Hound male from another Polish kennel. It was my champion Complement ILUSION. But my interest in sighthounds appeared to have no limits and in 1995 my dream came true. I have got a Whippet bitch, named ANNA JAGIELLONKA Lazarus. She is Lithuanian Junior Champion and Lithuanian Champion. That was the beginning of our “mania of Whippets”. We have kept two pretty daughters and one lovely grandson of ANNA. And that is not the end for sure.

Our “Romantika” has received an official status a kennel of Lithuanian Cynological Society (No. 16) on 11^th of September 2003. It is the first time ever that the kennel of sighthound gets such a status in our country.
